Hello my beloved readers, I hope all is well with you and your family this festive season!

As 2019 comes to an end, I take this opportunity to thank you all for joining me throughout my journey this year. It was encouraging to receive your feedback regarding the effect these blogs had on your personal lives, and discovering that I was not alone in life’s challenges. Although this year had some challenges, I thank God for strengthening me and being the anchor that kept me grounded. I thank God for this blog and my beautiful readers. A Truthful Journey has helped me cope with various challenges, especially the death of my mother. As I blogged, it brought a sense of healing and comfort, and most importantly, a sense of freedom.

As Christmas quickly approaches, I’m always amazed at how busy the malls get and how willing people are to spend money without hesitation. Yes, this is a festive season, but what is Christmas to you? Is it the exchange of gifts, eating good food or spending time with family and friends? Don’t get me wrong, these are all great activities, but do we take time to reflect on the Messiah’s humble birth that night? Have we totally forgotten the true meaning of Christmas? Friends, it’s not only about gifts, food and family; it’s about God taking on human flesh in order to save His people from their sins. Christ’s birth is the perfect picture of love, as the sole purpose of Christ’s birth was to bring new life to those who believe in Him. Born to die.

We should be ashamed in thinking how we’ve allowed such a sacred commemoration give us permission to become selfish and a little too merry. My friends, as we approach Christmas Day and nearing the end of 2019, wouldn’t it be wonderful to give Jesus the one gift He’d love to have which is you? There would be no Christmas without Christ. No life without His birth. No salvation without His coming. When December 25th comes and you rush to open the presents under the tree, take a moment to reflect and appreciate the greatest gift God gave to this world, which was His son.

I leave you with this prayer:

May God grant you the light of Christmas which is faith. The warmth of Christmas which is love. The radiance of Christmas which is purity. The righteousness of Christmas which is justice. The belief of Christmas which is truth. The ‘all’ of Christmas which is Christ. As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, may God grant you all these things. Not just at Christmas, but also throughout the New Year and all the years to come.

May the Christ of Christmas be the Lord of your life ❤️
