One of the many abilities God has given me is one of communication. I am definitely a talker!

Growing up, I used my mouth as an instrument to spread rumours. I always had an urge to share something; unfortunately, it was a gossip.

Today, I can say with confidence that God has saved me from my past life of sin. I am changed! Yes, I am still the chatty person I used to be; however, instead of gossiping about people I now share the gospel with them. The instrument is the same, but the melody is different.

God has commissioned us to share his message of salvation with whoever we encounter. In the past, I was terrified to share my faith with my friends and neighbours. I would speak with them on the phone or pass them on the street and not share the gospel with them whenever I had the chance. However, one day I asked myself what kind of friend am I if I fail to share my faith with those I love. I decided to send out a text message to some of my friends, saying, I am not a good friend if I’m not sharing with you the love I found in Jesus.

Luckily, some replied saying I was a good friend, and wanted to hear what I had to say.

God has granted me many opportunities to engage others about my faith.

I often accompany my husband to his office, and purpose in my mind to use every opportunity to share my faith with his clients. One day, a lady came into his office, and I shared my faith with her during a conversation. Praise be to God, she responded to the message and accepted Jesus Christ as her savior! To follow up, I spoke with her last month and she mentioned that she wished she had accepted Jesus before. That experience encouraged me to never give up an opportunity to engage someone about my faith, and I hope this encourages you to do the same!

We are commissioned to share the Gospel of Christ with those we encounter.

My question to you is, what makes it difficult for you to engage others about your faith?
